I recently met a wonderful boy.
He stood next to his mother, but all of him, as it were, was everywhere.
Hands, legs, head – lived their own separate lives.
He just couldn’t stand still, dancing all the time,
trying to run somewhere
while having time to ask questions, answer and gesticulate.
Parents sometimes say that there are “too many” such children.
Looking at him, I involuntarily had an association with the hero of A. Tolstoy “The Golden Key or the Adventures of Pinocchio”.
It is this restless wooden boy who constantly gets into the most incredible stories, is curious about everything that surrounds him.
Very easily forgets instructions from adults and is impulsive. (Remember how Pinocchio easily went to the puppet theater instead of school).
These children have many friends, because they are very sociable and recklessly ready for any prank.
They never cry if they hurt themselves, and they never lose heart.
After games, your child’s T-shirt is wet with sweat,
and the head is always full of the most incredible ideas.
Everything attracts his attention, but, unfortunately, does not linger on anything for a long time.
The biggest problem with a hyperactive child is being easily distracted.
At the lesson, he cannot concentrate through a fly buzzing in the corner, at home – because of the TV, a boiling kettle or the sound of a washing machine.
After concentrating for a few minutes, such a child jumps up, runs to the window, or begins to draw or tell something of his own.
When writing at school, a hyperactive child skips letters, does not complete words and sentences.
Often does not know what was asked at home. Remember how difficult it was for Malvina to teach Pinocchio to write.
A hyperactive child is very curious
but in his head he has a mess of individual facts and events, which, with the wrong education,
may not add up to a complete picture.
Usually, a hyperactive child is visible from the first months of life.
The parents of such a child take a breath only after putting such a child to bed and making sure that he finally calmed down.
Such a child is most at risk of rejection in kindergarten and school, as he can piss off the most patient teachers.
He acts without thinking about the consequences, although he does not plan anything bad and he himself is sincerely upset by what happened.
Punishment, reproaches and reprimands he endures easily. He is not touchy, and although he constantly quarrels with his peers, he immediately puts up with them.
Peak manifestations of hyperactivity at 6-7 years (going to school),
with a repeated peak at 13-14 years of age (adolescence) with improper upbringing.
So, let’s summarize the personality traits of a hyperactive child:
Impulsiveness,
motor disinhibition,
distractibility
Superficial interest.
If you recognize your child in this description, do not hesitate, seek help so that, together with a specialist, you can choose the optimal correction scheme.
